Angie, Counseling Intern

I am in my last year of my Masters in Social Work Advanced Standing program at Salem State, and have completed my undergraduate degree in Social Work. I have had the pleasure of working in many different settings with a variety of populations and ages. Over the last 7 years, I have ran women’s groups in a local Homeless Shelter, worked on a Crisis Stabilization Unit and provided adult community clinics services to my own caseload of clients. The majority of my time I have spent in Crisis, or the Emergency Services Program, providing crisis intervention within the community and in hospital settings.

My clinical interests are trauma, anxiety and bridging the gap between clinical and holistic practices. I do practice holistic modalities outside of my social work role such as Reiki and crystal healing. I take a holistic approach in my clinical work to get a sense of the person as a whole as we know everything is connected!  I am open and excited to offer my knowledge and services to anyone who is interested or feels we might be a good match!

As an intern, my time with A Balanced Self is limited. Therefore, we would need to schedule a consult in order to determine the treatment you are seeking / in need of can be provided during my time here.
